Many
predicted that the European software conversion to a unified currency
over the period of 1999 to 2002 would create an even larger software
programming challenge than the Year 2000 conversion. The Euro2002 discussion
list operated from June 1997 through November 2002 to provide a forum to discuss Euro-related issues and events. The list's focus was on the practical steps for business adoption of the euro currency, IT system software conversion, and economic impact. This list is now closed, however the archives remain online for the benefit of those that may find them of use.
